Lead UI/UX Designer

We’re looking for a Lead UI/UX Designer to take ownership of the end-to-end experience in Agenisy. You’ll turn real scaffolding workflows into clear, intuitive product journeys that feel simple for non-technical users, while still giving power users the depth they need.

Job Responsibilities

As Lead UI/UX Designer at Agenisy you’ll own the end-to-end product experience, from first-time onboarding through to advanced job and workflow management. You’ll work closely with the founders, engineers and customer teams to turn real on-site and back-office problems into clear, intuitive journeys. That means leading discovery and design for new features, mapping user flows, creating wireframes and prototypes, and delivering polished UI ready for build. You’ll maintain and evolve our design system so the product stays consistent, accessible and fast to develop, and you’ll regularly run user interviews and usability tests with scaffold companies to validate ideas and refine interactions. You’ll collaborate tightly with engineering to ensure designs are implemented accurately and pragmatically, bring a strong user-centred voice into roadmap discussions, and, as we grow, help guide and mentor other designers or contractors working on the product.

Job Requirements

We’re looking for someone who:

  1. Has 5+ years of experience designing digital products, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
  2. Can show a portfolio of shipped B2B or SaaS products, ideally with complex workflows or dashboards.
  3. Is confident running the full UX process – from research and problem framing to detailed UI and interaction design.
  4. Designs with systems in mind, using and extending design systems rather than reinventing every screen from scratch.
  5. Communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and is comfortable defending design decisions with reasoning, not taste.
  6. Is happy talking directly to customers, visiting sites when needed and turning messy real-world processes into structured flows.
  7. Is fluent in modern design tools (Figma or similar) and comfortable working closely with product and engineering in an iterative way.
  8. Cares about craft, accessibility and performance, but also knows when “good and shipped” beats “perfect and stuck”.

Nice to have (not mandatory):

  • Experience in construction, field-service or operations products.
  • Previous work in a small, fast-moving startup or scale-up environment.
